In times of need, we see how truly kind and selfless some people are. That’s exactly what happened to a Twiiter user who shared her story of how her Myanmar neighbours helped her in her time of need.
The Twitter user named @patiqahpott was stuck un the flood at Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam which is one of the areas severely affected by the flood.
Based on the video she shared, she was stuck with her friend at the 2nd floor of their home, and they were both starving after waiting so long for help that did not come to them.
They then started waving a white flag hoping that someone would come and true enough, their kind Myanmar neighbours swam through the flood waters to get to them.
They passed them some food to eat like buns and bread and even asked them if they wanted some instant noodles as they were going to swim and buy some. Not only that, but they also lent their stove to the woman who left hers downstairs in the kitchen which was flooded.
In the video you can see them swimming over with the stove in hand!
Many netizens were touched by the kindness of the foreigners. They were also going through a hard time but did not ignore their neighbours who needed help.
It was also very touching to see the way the swam across the flood waters which looked almost like a river just to give the neighbours food and also the stove.
