Is Chris Pratt becoming Hollywood’s most sought after voice actor?
From the Lego movie, to Mario and even the upcoming Garfield, seems like he’s the go-to actor for the genre.
Even though Pratt’s role for the Mario Bros movie did receive initial backlash due to his character’s non-existent Italian accent, that clearly didn’t stop producers from casting him in yet another voiceover.
And now, with the anticipated release of the 2024 The Garfield Movie, cartoon’s most adorable ginger cat is set to light up the theatres again with his not-so-cheery personality.
However, the trailer has left fans feeling underwhelmed by Pratt’s rendition of Garfield (again).
The voice doesn't fit imo

this shit was so cute until Chris started talking.
6/10 Voice. Wish it had that super slow laid back sound that's well recognized. But I'll manage lol.
Crisp Ratt completely ruined this movie, theres absolutely no effort in his voice acting hes literally just talking
Can we pls stop crisp ratt from voicing anything else? Im sick of hearing his nasty voice?
Itd be great if Chris Pratt could do any sort of voice impression at all
Was Bill Murray unavailable?
Garfield sounds too happy, he's suppose to be grumpy and bored.
There are moments where Chris Pratt's voice seems to work "here-and-there" but a lot of it just feels like how he voiced Super Mario. He sounds like he could be a decent voice actor, he's not terrible. I feel like with Garfield, he could use more work.
