The police are investigating a viral incident involving two car drivers who got into a heated argument following an accident on Jalan Pelabuhan Barat here last Wednesday, at around 2.20 pm, involving a Proton Saga and a Proton Gen 2.
"The incident took place while both drivers were travelling from Pulau Indah towards Klang. Upon reaching the congested scene, the 38-year-old Saga driver, who was moving straight, was rear-ended by a Gen 2," said the Chief of South Klang District Police, Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong after receiving information about the incident yesterday through a video posted on Twitter, showing a confrontation between two local men.
Hoong Fong explained that the accident led to dissatisfaction and an argument between the two men at the scene.
"The Saga driver demanded compensation for the damage to his car. At the same time, he recorded a video of the verbal dispute. A police report was filed by the Saga driver on the day of the incident," he added.
In the video, the enraged Gen-2 driver adamantly refuses to offer compensation to the Saga driver, asserting that he has "a lot of police friends from the Klang police station." The Gen-2 driver goes to the extent of using offensive language to berate the Saga driver, and astonishingly, even urges the Saga driver to provide compensation to him instead.
