Daily cases has been steadily on the rise, and after receiving over 4k cases in two consecutive days (today 4,744), Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin took to Twitter stating that, an Omicron wave has begun in Malaysia.
Mask. #TRIIS. Booster. #PICKids. https://t.co/KYLzwPon1w

However, he also noted that with high vaccination rates, a decrease in serious cases as well as the public following government implemented SOPs (masks and social distancing), we would be able to beat the wave.
Based on DG Hisham, the cumulative positive cases in the country thus far stands at 2,844,969 (more info on the numbers here).
That being said, let us all do our parts to stay safe, strictly abide by SOPs, and flatten another curve.
