A new logo has been introduced by KKMM (Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia) in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day 2022.
It seems that netizens are not quite impressed with the design that came out, saying the simplicity of it does not embody the history of National Day and Malaysia Day. Some straight up said that it was not pretty and the logo was literally copied from the Wi-Fi logo.
However, as simple as it is, the Wi-Fi-like logo actually carries a deeper meaning to celebrate our National Day and Malaysia Day 2022.
Starting off with the red, yellow and blue bands which represent the country's multicultural society that lives in harmony with each other.
The red dot at the bottom represents our nation's identity and patriotism which are central to the evolution of a visionary and sovereign country.
Basically, the whole concept of the logo is to symbolize the development of communication systems and digitization infrastructure that are increasingly advancing in Malaysia. Hence, the internet coverage bands.
