Unlike typical street vendors who operate from a stall, the uncle was spotted selling fish on the roadside at a bend in the road, with only two pieces of cloth laid out as his makeshift stall. He was riding a bicycle, carrying his goods, and doing what he could to make ends meet.
According to Faiz, he came across the uncle while driving through a residential area. The weather was gloomy and on the verge of rain, but something prompted him to turn around and check on what the man was selling.
"The weather was gloomy, about to rain, so I turned back to stop and see what he was selling. The uncle was riding a bicycle selling fish, he's someone struggling," Faiz wrote.
Seeing the uncle's fish still unsold and unwilling to let the man go home empty-handed, Faiz decided to buy all of the uncle's products. He also kindly told him to head home soon, as rain was approaching.
"I truly understand how it feels to be in hardship because I've been there before," Faiz shared in the video caption. "We won't become poor by giving charity. May Allah SWT ease all of this uncle's affairs."
The video quickly gained traction online, with hundreds of netizens filling the comments section to praise Faiz for his kind-hearted gesture. Many thanked him for helping someone in need and being an example of selflessness and empathy.
