2. Sanitizing Your Hands
A local nurse known as Nurse Hidayah demonstrated the 7 steps to properly sanitize our hands in the video above. Below are the steps along with photos of the demonstration.
Step 1: Rub the tips of your fingers into the sanitizer for both hands in fast circular motions. This must be done before the sanitizer dries up.
Step 2: Rub your palms together.
Step 3: Continue rubbing with interlocked fingers.
Step 4: Rub the back of both hands with fingers interlaced.
Step 5: Rub the back of your fingers for both hands. Ball your hands into fists and rub in a downward motion, one side at a time.
Step 6: Rub the area between the index finger and the thumb.
Place your fingers together with the thumb sticking out.
Rub in a downward motion starting from the index finger to the thumb. Do for both hands.
Step 7: Bring the sanitizer down to your wrists. Cup your hands around your wrists and rub in circular motions.
And ta-da! Your hands are properly sanitized.
On a side note, don't just rely on sanitizers. There are still many other preventive measures to protect yourself against COVID-19.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends to wash your hands frequently, practice social distancing, avoid touching your face, practice respiratory hygiene and seek medical help if you notice Covid-19 symptoms as part of the precautionary actions.
