Eight people, including a fourteen-year-old, have tragically died at Travis Scott's AstroWorld Festival and left hundreds injured last Friday after the mass crowd went out of control.
Witnesses present during the concert have accused him of neglect when the singer continued the show despite desperate pleas from the crowd begging him to stop. Two of the concert-goers even went as far as climbing up the stage to inform the backstage team that "There's someone dead!" multiple times as seen in a video below:
Nobody wants to even listen! She is telling them someone is dead Travis Scott Concert. pic.twitter.com/7skDKyxOag
Another video resurfaced where Travis Scott witnessed an unconscious fan being carried away from the crowd and continued singing.
This is the CREEPIEST video I have ever seen!! A concert where you MUST have taken the COVID shot to go to. People in their 20s dying of CARDIAC ARREST while this guy sings a CREEPY chant through an autotune mic while the BODIES are being carried away!! WTF!!?? #TravisScott pic.twitter.com/VD22FStGN9
As more videos of evident negligence began to surface, hashtag #CancelTravisScott is now currently trending on Twitter, comparing the way he handled his concerts with other artists in the industry that have dealt with a similar situation in a much better fashion. Here's an example:
Bruh.... #TravisScott should really watch this clip of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park handling a crowd.
That way, he'll definitely learn his DAMN lesson & he won't ever do that again to his die-hard fans.... #CancelTravisScott #Astroworld pic. twitter.com/veSdMJfaU4
One fan who happened to be at the concert provided a detailed description of what happened during the catastrophic festival on her Instagram.
Travis Scott is currently being sued by the concert-goers as we speak. To all eight of his fans who were gone too soon, may they rest in peace and may their family be granted strength and resilience during these tough times.
