In a surprising turn of events at a salon in Johor Bahru, a man's request for a slight trim to his wolf tail hairstyle ended in a shocking transformation into a bob cut, leaving the customer fuming with anger.
The man, who had been growing his hair for over half a year, visited a salon in Johor Bahru with hopes of getting a well-groomed look for the upcoming Lunar New Year. However, his simple request for a layered wolf tail haircut turned into a nightmare as the stylist mistakenly gave him a feminine bob cut.
Expressing his frustration on Facebook, the man explained that he initially asked for a 1 to 2-inch trim to create a textured wolf tail, but the stylist ended up combing his hair to the nape of his neck and cutting it straight across. The result was far from what he had envisioned.
In case you're scratching your head wondering what's a wolf tail hairstyle, here's a reference photo:
Shocked and dissatisfied with the outcome, the man reluctantly asked the stylist to thin out the hair. However, to his amazement, the stylist casually trimmed a small section, failing to achieve the desired effect.
"This was my first haircut with a sense of inexplicable fear. After the first round of cutting, I dared not let them touch my hair again and just wanted to pay and leave," the disgruntled customer shared.
Upon entering the salon, the man was initially impressed by the staff's service, but things took a turn for the worse during the haircut. The stylist continuously promoted various additional hair care packages, and the man felt pressured into accepting unnecessary services.
The man also criticized the salon staff for unprofessional behaviour, as they were seen blow-drying his hair while eating. He believed that their overall professionalism and service attitude left much to be desired.
In response to the incident, the salon's management privately apologized to the man, acknowledging potential miscommunication and expressing a willingness to make amends. The salon explained that the haircut, which involved longer hair, warranted a RM60 service fee, and there was no additional charge for washing.
"We are willing to fully refund the haircut cost and provide an additional hair care kit as compensation," the salon's representative stated.
However, the man declined the compensation, insisting that he only wanted the salon to issue a public statement on their Facebook page to ensure better service for future customers.
The salon's management clarified that eating in front of customers is strictly prohibited in their establishment and suggested reviewing CCTV footage to confirm the situation. Despite the differing accounts, the man maintained that he witnessed the unprofessional behavior and called for accountability.
