A six-year-old boy, Mohd Zulfikar Al Fateh Mohd Fauzi, became the youngest star of the day after winning a Perodua Axia in a lucky draw event at a shopping mall on Sunday (5 January).
The win was nothing short of a New Year's miracle for his family, including his mother, Norazemah Nordin, who described the moment as an unexpected blessing. "This prize is a blessing for our child. It is a New Year's gift we never expected. We are truly grateful," said Norazemah, an administrative assistant in the accounting department in Keningau.
The event, organized by ROBERT.T 1994, saw three finalists being called on stage after their numbers were drawn. Each participant was given the chance to select one of three identical keys, only one of which could unlock the car door.
When it was Mohd Zulfikar's turn, his chosen key successfully unlocked the car door, declaring him the winner of the Perodua Axia.
Norazemah and her family had arrived at the mall the day before to collect a pair of glasses she had ordered from the store. It was then that she learned about her eligibility to participate in the lucky draw.
The mother of four shared that the family already owned a car, but they plan to use the newly won vehicle for special family vacations. "We already have a car. So, for this newly won car, we plan to use it for special vacations," she said. She added that her husband, who works in Kota Kinabalu, would drive the Perodua Axia back to Keningau.
The ROBERT.T 1994 Lucky Draw event was officiated by Datuk Ewon Benedick, the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP). The highlight of the event was undoubtedly young Mohd Zulfikar's moment of triumph, a story that will surely be cherished by the family for years to come.
For Norazemah and her family, this unexpected win marks the beginning of a New Year filled with joy, gratitude, and new adventures on the road.
