Fake Vaccination Certificate For Only RM200? Here’s Why You Shouldn’t:

The issue of the illegal sale of fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates has been quite a buzz in the United States, but apparently, Malaysia now faces a similar problem.

Above is a screenshot of a now deleted tweet posted by user @pedoqpop, exposing the fake MySejahtera Covid-19 vaccination syndicate. According to the anonymous tip, the fake certificate costs only RM 200, and the operation is supported by an insider who apparently knows their way around the Mysejahtera system.

Here's why faking your Covid-19 vaccination certificate is harmful:

• You are putting everyone's lives at risk, including yourself when you're putting such fake information to the public.

• The goal is to reach herd immunity— one person who lies about being vaccinated could affect hundreds of people and innocent lives could easily be lost and thus, all effort to reach the goal would be meaningless.

• It is an immensely irresponsible act as you could be the reason someone else loses a loved one.

• With the worrying development of Covid-19's new, more aggressive variants, now is not a good time to be reckless and hold anti-vaccine sentiments.

In short, please be responsible and take your vaccine.
