The victim was then taken to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh by the management and a police report was made after. According to a family member in a Facebook post, they were prevented from lodging a police report on the victim's behalf by the police officers as it was "still an ongoing investigation". On the other hand, the culprit behind it was allowed to roam freely after posting his bail.
The result of the post-mortem confirmed that the victim died due to a lung infection. However, unatisfied with the way the victim's case was handled, family members who believed his death is directly linked to the assault, decided to take on social media to share his story, hoping for a better outcome. Sure enough, the post went viral, and caught the attention of the Perak Police Chief, Comm Mior Faridalthrash. In light of new evidence, the police have decided to re-open the case, and the culprit has already been apprehended.
