As the rainy season is now in full effect, some unusual activities can be seen around the country. One such incident recently went viral thanks to a video circulating on TikTok.
User @amirulviolence took to the platform to share a fairly squeamish video over a discovery of a nest of cockroaches gathering along some motorcycle tires. Shocked and surprised, the group of onlookers quickly grabbed some insect spray to disperse the exterminate the insect party.
Netizens viewing the 32-second video were not only left alarmed by the incident, but also left questioning why the group of cockroaches were "hanging out" there in the first place.
Thankfully, those questions were answered, in a relatively amusing manner by another user, @khairunnaim4.
Founder of Naim Pest Control, Naim himself took to the platform wearing a rather fitting cockroach outfit, to explain to the netizens the reasoning for the occurrence of cockroaches on those motorcycle wheels.
Speaking of the viral video, Naim explained that the area that the motorcycles had parked could possibly be near a drain or manhole, pertaining to the wet floor of the parking area.
As the rain collects, these drainages could begin to overflow, causing the cockroach nests living there, to begin looking for higher ground to prevent themselves from drowning in the water.
With those questions answered, hopefully the public will be more aware and cautious during these coming wet months, and perhaps stock up on those insecticides for an emergency such as this.
