On today's episode of cancel culture, the next on the chopping block may just be Chatime.
As of recent, the Twitterverse saw red when beauty entrepreneur and businesswoman Neelofa went to Langkawi for her honeymoon. Based on reports, she made an interstate travel journey (which is by the by, still restricted in Malaysia, due to Covid-19 SOPs), and was not penalized for it.
Calling out for injustice and bias, Malaysians weren't happy with the double standards.

Since the incident, Chatime, a Taiwanese global franchise teahouse chain, has come out to back her up. Apparently based on Chatime's now deleted tweet, a statement was released by the director of the company stating that Neelofa was in Langkawi for business.
Netizens were quick to call out for more biasness, including the speculation of familial ties between the starlet and the director.
Whether she was there for business or pleasure, we'll probably never know, but it is becoming evident that in this day and age, there is the right way, or there is no way.
