Over the past few days, the Klang Valley was struck by tragic and truly terrible flash floods with water rising to devastating levels. Many took to social media to share their experiences in the floods.
While the floods are truly a terrible thing, netizens have the tendency to share the funny side of things to help lighten the mood and maybe bring a smile to some faces.
Recently, a video posted on TikTok by a user named @nadiahnasir1401 went viral and managed to humour netizens all over Malaysia.
The video posted was of a family of cockroaches floating in the flood waters on a mask desperately trying to escape the rising waters in the user’s home.
In the video, you can see the water levels rose to the user’s ankles. Watch the video here:
Many netizens found the video to be very hilarious and they shared their thoughts in the comments section.
Some of our favourites are the ones that liken the cockroaches to one of our favourite cartoons Oggy and the Coackroaches. In the cartoon Oggy is a cat who is constantly tortured by 3 cockroaches who go out of their way to make his life hell.
Many said that the person recording the video was the human version of Oggy.
Besides that, some users even associated the video to the famous 1997 movie, Titanic. I guess, it the remake but this time in the perspective of the cockroaches.
