A 34-year-old mother in Kelantan faced unimaginable horror when she was forced to watch while her ex-husband force-fed drugs and sexually assaulted her 8-year-old daughter.

The incident happened on December 14th while the mother and her underaged daughter were staying over at a relative's house. According to the Kelantan police chief, Datuk Shafien Mamat, "During the incident, the mother was too terrified to rescue her daughter as she was afraid that she might be severely beaten." 

"On the same day, the poor child was also raped by another suspect, his uncle," he added. After the incident, the woman fled with her daughter and contacted several non -governmental organizations (NGOs) to seek help via Facebook.

The child has undergone an examination at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZII) Kota Bharu, and it was discovered that the child had not only been raped but sodomized as well.

A police report was immediately lodged by the victim's mother, and the police have therefore arrested two suspects aged 46 and 39, believed to be the victim's stepfather and uncle, two days after. 

The case is currently being investigated under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code, 377C of the Penal Code, 14 (a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act, and 14 (b) AKSTK. "Both of the suspects tested positive for methamphetamine."

"Both suspects are in remand from December 18th to 24th while the victim is currently placed under the supervision of the Kelantan Social Welfare Department (JKM)," Datuk Shafien explained.
