Fans attending The Weeknd's long-awaited concert in Los Angeles were left in tears and shock after the Canadian crooner suddenly stormed off the stage just 15 minutes after kicking off his set!
The reason? He lost his voice mid-performance.
Around 70,000 fans attended the sold-out concert on Saturday, whereby The Weeknd was wrapping up a two-night run. He did return on-stage moments later, but only to deliver the sad news:
"I don't know what just happened but I just lost my voice. This is killing me, I don't want to stop the show but I can't give you the concert I want to give you right now. I'm gonna make sure everybody's good- you'll get your money back- I'll do a show real soon for you guys. But I wanted to come out and personally apologize."
Frustrated fans were seen trying to grasp the news shortly after being notified.
Following the blow, The Weeknd then posted a statement via his Instagram story, clarifying that he had already lost his voice during the first song but pulled through until the fourth.
