If you've been keeping up with the recent news, you're probably aware of the viral incident involving a local delivery rider confronting two Singaporeans at a Johor petrol station. The rider shared with the public that his Grab account has been suspended since June 21 in response to the altercation that happened.

The 44-year-old rider wasted no time in contacting Grab's customer service to address the issue. But, his initial contact only led to assurances that he would be contacted by higher management within 24 hours. Frustrated by the delay, the rider took matters into his own hands and reached out to social media to share his side of the story.

According to the rider, someone had reported him for allegedly pulling out a screwdriver in self-defence during the incident. He vehemently denied the accusations, claiming that he was innocent and that the Singaporeans were jeopardizing his livelihood.

Grab eventually conducted an investigation into the suspended account and discovered that the rider had been telling the truth all along. Recognizing their mistake, Grab promptly reactivated his account and he expressed his gratitude to Malaysians for supporting him during this challenging time.

On June 22, Grab took to Twitter to issue an official statement regarding the incident and offered their apologies to the rider for the suspension of his account. However, the statement received mixed reactions from Malaysians, with many expressing their dissatisfaction.

Netizens pointed out the lack of professionalism in the company's response, as the statement was released via Instagram stories rather than through a proper official template.

Many voiced their concerns, questioning the authenticity and sincerity of the statement, and demanding a more professional approach.
