Having losing a job amid the pandemic is already hard enough, but it is even harder if one is a single parent, like this father in our story today.
On June 5, Twitter user @echafaaa (or Kak Cah) posted an image of a man sitting outside a supermarket with his child sleeping on the floor. She captioned the photo, “When we are having a hard time, there are others who are having harder times.”
Turns out the man — called Ibrahim according to the user — is a single father whose wife died after giving birth to their child. Since then, it became impossible for him to go out and work as he has to take care of his child alone. Not being able to work means he has no income to pay for his rent. Therefore, he had no choice but to beg for some money to buy food.

After learning that the man used to be a technician, our good Samaritan Kak Cah asked him to help her install curtain at her beauty salon. The man accepted the job immediately after asking if he could to bring his child along and was allowed to do so.
“Looks like he was eager to work... because he was waiting [for me],” commented Kak Cah on an update of the event.
And as promised, she let him hang the curtains at her salon while bringing his toddler along.
Kak Cah’s kindness has won her praises from netizens. And because of her sharing, Abang Ibrahim has received helps from other equally kind Malaysians.
Thank you, Kak Cah and others who have helped the man in need. May all of you be blessed always.
