You're all dolled up for a night out with friends, but the moment you put on your spectacles, something is just off!
If this sounds like your everyday problem, it won't be anymore. These make-up placement tips for those who wear glasses will sort things out for you.
1. For wide-frame glasses
When you wear wide frames, people's attention are often shifted up to your eyebrows instead.
Tip: To bring back the focus on your eyes, add some eyeshadow on the bottom outer corner of your eyes.
2. For thin metallic frames
Metallic frames bring light to the centre of your face. This aligns your brows, eyes, and lips in a V-shape.
Tips: Use a darker shadow to create a soft wing on the outer corner of your eyes. Apply blush closer to your under eye area and nose. Put lipstick on the outer corner of your lips and softly blend inwards.
3. For dark, rounded frames
You'll need to bring focus and brighten your eyes, as not to be overshadowed by the dark frames.
Tips: Apply blush on the parts you would use concealer on, moving upwards into the temple and outer eye area. Put some shimmer in the bottom inner corner of your eyes.
4. For bright-colored frames
Go for the lighter approach with your eye-makeup. You wouldn't want to overwhelm your face with a heavy do.
Tips: Stick to one or two layers of a soft-black mascara.
5. For near-sighted, prescription lenses
These type of lenses might make your eyes smaller, especially with the use of heavy eyeliner.
Tips: Skip the eyeliner altogether for a more natural look. Instead, stick to cream-based eyeshadow in neutral shades. Also, apply mascara to the lash line instead of the lash tips to define your eyes.
So, try these tips and see the difference yourself.
