A Proton Ertiga driver is alleged to have intentionally obstructed an ambulance on a road near Kulim, Kedah. Despite the emergency siren being sounded during the incident, the driver recorded driving fast in the right lane and refused to give way to the emergency vehicle.
A vehicle in front had already cleared the way for the ambulance, but the grey car driver failed to follow suit. Previously, a Perodua Kembara driver, whose video went viral on social media for refusing to yield to an ambulance in Sri Aman, Sarawak, was arrested by the police on Saturday.
District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mathew Manggie, stated that the man had been taken action against under Section 9, Traffic Rules 166/59, for the offence of not giving way to an ambulance.
