On TikTok, a video gained widespread attention as it featured an unsatisfied customer airing grievances about a serving of nasi lemak, despite its hefty price tag of around RM33.

The video displayed a measly portion of nasi lemak accompanied by a single piece of chicken, sambal, and vegetables. Voicing his discontent, the customer criticized the high price, arguing that such a simple dish should not command such a steep cost. 

"If it were priced at RM10, then maybe I would consider buying it," he remarked in the video.

The video sparked a flurry of responses from the online community, with many expressing shock and disbelief at the significant difference between the food portion and its inflated price. One user humorously commented, "The vegetables are just for decoration, bro." Others took a more cynical stance, suggesting that perhaps the shop owner aimed to fund high-rise construction projects given the exorbitant price of the nasi lemak.
