Based on reports, a 29-year-old woman named Sarah Phoon was fined a sum of RM2,000 for possessing 102 sex toys.
She was caught selling the goods at a shopping complex on Persiaran Bayan Indah, Bayan Lepas. The case proceedings proved that she was found with the items at 2.30pm earlier today.
She was fined RM2,000 and will face two months in prison if she fails to pay the fine.
It is apparently illegal to sell sex toys in Malaysia, and the charge fell under Section 292(a) of the Penal code.
According to Malaysian law, the items are considered to erode moral values, and thus deemed illegal.
