A Malaysian dad was utterly shocked when he received an additional charge on his food bill for a 'messy table'.
He was charged RM5 at an eatery here in Kuala Lumpur.
The man, who had visited the restaurant with his child under two years old, expressed his confusion over the unexpected fee on social media.
Besides, the additional fee added to his bill, he also expressed that the restaurant in itself was quite pricey, with his meal totaling to RM55.
The man only ordered Salted Egg Kailan, an Omelette, and Sweet, Sour and Spicy Sea Bass.

Seeking clarification, the man took to X to express his concerns on the matter, questioning if it is even acceptable for restaurants to charge an additional fee for a messy table especially when families have younger children eating with them.
His post quickly gained attention, with many netizens advising him to report the incident to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN).
