On the other end of the line was a man speaking English with a foreign-sounding accent. He introduced himself as a representative from the customer service department of an investment agency. However, Siti quickly realized that it was a scam call and wasted no time in ending the conversation.
Before hanging up, she humorously responded in a playful tone mimicking the Thai language, saying, "Ohh long (wrong) number, long (wrong) number. Sorry aaa. Madai, madai." Her lighthearted reaction amused netizens, who found her response both witty and entertaining.
Following the incident, Siti took the opportunity to advise her followers and the public to be cautious and avoid answering calls related to investment schemes from unknown sources. She also shared that this was not the first time she had received scam calls. In previous encounters, she even pretended to be someone else to outwit the scammers.
"They probably got this number randomly. Or maybe they actually have my number, but they don't know who I am," she said.
Many netizens took to the comments section to share their amusement over the situation, joking that the scammer was lucky to have had the opportunity to speak with Malaysia's most beloved singer. Some even applauded her quick thinking and humorous response.
