A toddler in Hong Kong has ultimately forced his parents to empty out more than HK$30,000 from their pocket after he toppled over a giant, golden Teletubby statue worth HK$52,800, leaving it shattered on the ground. The life-sized exhibit was on display at a local store before its existence was ended shortly following the unfortunate event.

The photos surrounding the incident went viral on the internet, and opinions started flooding in. Some individuals are of the opinion that the circumstances of the incident shouldn't be borne entirely by the parents due to the lack of security or confinement in the care of such an expensive piece of item. Some have also mentioned that something of that price tag should have be insured and displayed in a much more riveted installment.

The amount of financial damage the parents were told to compensate for.

CCTV footage of the incident was uploaded on the internet, showing moments before the disaster. The child could be seen leaning against the statue before it ultimately meets its demise. Others have blamed the parents for their failure in monitoring the child.
