The Dewan Rakyat was briefly disrupted when Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook appeared to struggle with breathing during his ministry's question time.
According to New Straits Times, Loke was set to address a question from Wong Chen (PH-Subang) concerning regulations that would permit drivers with disabilities holding an A/A1 license to work as e-hailing drivers. However, upon standing to respond, Loke seemed out of breath and needed a moment to regain his composure. Witnesses observed Loke patting his chest repeatedly before signaling his deputy, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, who was also present in the House, to take over the session.
Stepping in, Habibollah advised Loke to sit down and relax, saying, YB (Loke), calm yourself down, and I will answer this first. Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa (BN-Tampin) also expressed concern, urging Loke to seek a health checkup at the hospital. YB (Loke), calm down first. You need to get yourself checked; its dangerous (for your health), he stated.
Loke later resumed his duties, answering supplementary questions from other members of parliament.
