Private Schools Should Not Force Parents To Pay Fees

Senior Minister for Security and Minister of Defence Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob pointed out that private schools should not force the parents to pay any tuition fees because they did not start classes during the Movement Control Order (MCO) and Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

He stated that the cost of private schools is nearly equal to zero during these periods.

Besides, he also mentioned that the school bus operators have also agreed not to charge parents during these school suspension periods because they have not provided any services.

He stated that he understands that private schools face financial problems, but the school must also consider the financial situation of the parents.
