There is always a new challenge running wild on social media. Remember the Mannequin Challenge, where everyone would freeze and pose? And, the terrible one was the extremely dangerous, Tide Pod Challenge, in which teens ate the real Tide Pods!
What is the latest challenge on social media? Have you noticed the four-block meme format for the different social media? Probably! This is actually the newest trend on social media called the "Dolly Parton challenge". It all began when Dolly Parton posted four images of herself. For LinkedIn, Dolly in a blazer. For Facebook, Dolly is casually sporting a Christmas sweater. For Instagram, black-and-white Dolly in high-waisted bell bottoms and a guitar in hand. And for Tinder, Dolly dressed up in a bunny suit. Her caption for the post, “Get you a woman who can do it all” has now become a familiar internet proverb. It is not clear if Parton has realized this social media storm she created. But, we could be misled and believed that Dolly would use LinkedIn to develop her professional network.
Within a short time, the meme became viral. Many celebrities used the format and complimented Parton for the splendid idea. “Yes ma’am, @dollyparton, whatever you say,” Jennifer Garner wrote.
Ellen DeGeneres also created her own version of the meme and wrote “When my agent asks if I can play different roles,” alongside the post.
Avengers star, Mark Ruffalo put his twist on Parton's caption and wrote, "Get a guy who will play them all ."
Martha Stewart also participated by sharing some really classic photos including a romantic picture with Snoop Dogg for her Instagram picture. She also shared a black-and-white photo from her college days when she was a beautiful fashion model for Chanel as her Tinder picture.
Not only limited to the artist's account but everyone is joining the challenge, from fan accounts to Instagram cats and even brands.
So have you started your very own Dolly Parton Challenge?
