Dr. Amalina Bakri is a London-based Malaysian surgeon who is part of a team at the Imperial College in search of the Covid-19 vaccine now. She shared her tips on how to become fluent in English as a lot of people demanded.
1. Practice makes perfect
2. Communicate with your foreign friends through social media
"I even wrote letters to them. I joined some educational groups online. I started doing all these things when I was 12." Find a group of friends from other countries and starts with a simple conversation like greeting and small talk.
3. Watch Englis TV shows and movies, listen to English music
"When you learn something new, say the words/phrases out loud!" I totally agree with this as I always did. You can learn a lot of vocabulary and phrases by watching dramas and movies. Write it down and practice how to use it.
4. Practice, practice, practice!
