A 41-year-old male celebrity was detained by police after being found in possession of drugs at a house in Sepang. The arrest was made by a team from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Sepang District Police Headquarters at approximately 3 PM.
Sepang District Police Chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman confirmed the arrest, stating that officers uncovered two clear plastic packets containing dried leaves suspected to be cannabis.
"The total estimated weight of the cannabis is around 60.3 grams," Norhizam said.
Following the discovery, a urine test was conducted on the celebrity, which confirmed the presence of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive compound in cannabis. Despite the positive test, it was reported that the individual does not have any prior criminal record.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 39A(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries severe penalties, including imprisonment, for those found guilty of drug offenses.
