Since there’s no hope of us ever going back to working from the office again, maybe it is time we start dedicating an area in our homes as an office space. But what if you live in a tiny apartment with barely any space left for a home office?
Here are a few ideas for people who need a designated home office space but don’t really have that much available space at hand.
1. Turn your closet into an office space
I know how important your clothes are, don’t worry. I won’t be asking you to use your entire closet as an office. What I am merely saying is to use a section of your huge wardrobe as an office space.
If you have a huge built-in closet, you just need to sacrifice one small space next to your clothes hanging space and turn it into a little office nook.
2. Bedside Table? More like Office Space!
Sometimes, bedside tables are completely unnecessary, most of us just end up putting our things on our bed. So, do we really need a bedside table? I don’t think so.
Replace the useless bedside table with a small office desk and tadaaa, you have a home office.
3. Comfy Home Office on Your Bed
I know, I know, we shouldn’t do work or study on our beds. What if you don’t have space though? Then you just have to use your bed, kan? So, this if for people who really don’t have space in their homes.
All you need is a rolling overbed table and now you have a comfy home office on your bed. If you need more desk space then get a longer desk, but if you need more storage then get a smaller one with some shelves.
4. Harry Potter Home Office
If for some reason you live in a double or triple story home yet still don’t have space for a home office, then transform the space under your staircase into an office area.
Just like how the Dursley’s turned it into Harry’s room, you can turn it into a minimalistic office space.
5. Modern Loft Bed Office
If you’re not into the whole traditional landed bed and like a little bit of adventure in the bedroom, then why not turn your bed into a loft bed with an office under it? It is absolutely functional and adds a little wow factor to your bedroom.
This kind of design is definitely suitable for small spaces and for people who actually have the energy to climb up to bed every night.
