If the racist incident from yesterday wasn't enough, there's also another one that occurred lately. It also has something to do with the A.R. Rahman concert.
Hanis Onn, a Malaysian hockey player posted a comment on Instagram stating "Bau best la kat dalam tuh" referring to the crowd in the stadium indirectly.
We are familiar with how a local KOL got slandered for her use of derogatory language about the community, and despite her apology, online users remain furious.
And it's the same thing with Hanis. In relation to her comment, she also wrote an apology, but she afterward went into hiding, and her Instagram account is now private.
The question is, why do people behave badly against other Malaysians and use improper language? Don't we all live in harmony?
I just looked, and the year is 2023. We ought to have moved on from this by now.
Furthermore, as a representation of the country, it is only reasonable to provide a good example, not this.
