Viral on platform X is the discovery of an anonymous letter found in the parking lot of the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) in Ipoh, Perak, revealing allegations of sexual harassment by a doctor.

The victims of the doctor's sexual harassment are said to be female staff members of HRPB.

Addressed to the Director of HRPB, Datuk Dr Megat Iskandar Megat Abdul Hamid, the letter urges for a thorough investigation into the doctor labelled as 'sex crazy', advocating for his transfer to another hospital in a different state.

"Please read and help us," concludes the message at the end of the two-page letter dated February 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Perak State Health Department (JKN) issued a statement on Saturday stating that they had established an Independent Investigation Committee on February 29 to investigate the anonymous letter.

Its Director, Dr Feisul Idzwan Mustapha, mentioned that the committee was formed a day after the receipt of the letter by HRPB through mail on February 28.

This committee consists of officers appointed by the Deputy Director-General of Health (Medical) of the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Investigations are underway with evidence gathering. MOH considers these accusations very serious and has zero tolerance for sexual harassment in the workplace, he said.

The anonymous letter also disclosed the names of several individuals, also hospital staff, accused of protecting and colluding with the actions of the implicated doctor.

The letter also expressed frustration over the lack of action against the doctor despite complaints being made regarding the issue.
