Based on reports, yesterday evening (17 March), a fire broke out at the peak of Broga Hill in Hulu Langat, Selangor at about 7.40pm. The fire destroyed 0.8ha of forest on the hill.
Firefighters from the Semenyih fire and rescue station headed to the location after receiving the call.
They managed to prevent the fire from spreading and thankfully there were no casualities reported.
Assistant director of the Selangor fire and rescue department Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said that the fire involved the area at the peak of Bukit Broga.
“The firefighters are working hard to bring the fire under control. Investigations are being carried out to determine the cause of the fire. No casualities were reported”, he said.
