A sister and her younger brother were taken to the hospital after stung by a hornet. Unfortunately, the 8-year-old sister died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while the 6-year-old brother was in stable condition after receiving treatment.

According to New Straits Times, the incident happened at Felda Kerteh 4 in Dungun on Saturday. Nur Nazihah Mohd Sabri, the little girl who suffered 65 hornet stings, died at 1.30 am at the ICU of the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ).
"The girl was admitted to HSNZ at 9.17 pm yesterday from Dungun Hospital."
The sister-brother were sent to the hospital immediately after they were attacked by the hornet.
The mother, Rohayu Mat Lazim said they were playing with some friends at a hill near their home when her son rushed into the house in pain and with swellings on his body. She found her daughter collapsed on the ground and sent them to Ketengah Jaya Clinic immediately.
They were referred to the Dungun Hospital and then sent to HSNZ later.
"She died due to internal organ failure from toxins released by the hornet stings," said Terengganu Health director Dr. Nor Azimi Yunus.
