"There is no need to slander Muda (Parti Ikatan Demokratik Malaysia) using crowdfunding money. We have shown everything."

That is the response of the Muda President, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman on the viral photo which claimed that some members of the party were partying and drinking beer using crowdfunding money.

According to Syed Saddiq, his party has held a special press conference to show the purchase receipt of aid for flood victims from public donations and all transactions are recorded and audited after the flood relief mission.

"100 percent of the contributions are to flood victims."

"There have been many attempts to bring down Muda these days. This party is a multi-racial party. It is not an offense for them to drink, it is different if they drive, he wrote in a tweet on Twitter.

Syed Saddiq said, Muda respects their rights to drink beer and they respect our rights.

"This is their personal right. This party was founded on tolerance."

"If this is true, why do you have to cover their faces?" he questioned.
