A man in Sibu was cheated by the Polis Bantuan whom he seek help to withdraw money from an atm machine. The man intended to withdraw RM200 but when he checked his bank account the next day, a total of RM1200 was withdrawn.
The victim's wife made a police report and luckily the culprit was found and detained.
According to the victim's wife, she asked his husband's help to withdraw RM200 from an atm machine at 9 am morning. However, her husband does not know how to use an atm machine and thus he looked for help from a Polis Bantuan.
About an hour later that day, their son was checking the mother's account online and realised that RM1000 was missing.
The wife went to the bank later that day to verify the withdrawal. She then found out that there were 2 withdrawals, RM200 the first time and RM1000 the second time.
The wife quickly filed a police report.
The police then looked into the CCTV footage and confirms that the Polis Bantuan withdrew the RM1000 after he helped the man to withdraw RM200, using the same debit card.
The Polis Bantuan is then detained and to be judged in court.
