Based on recent reports on Chinese socmed sites like Xiao Hong Shu and Weibo, karaoke sessions are now a means to lose weight!
Many women in China have gone for karaoke and proven to have loss calories because apparently an intense karaoke sesh is similar to a vigorous cardio workout.
One netizen who booked a 7-hour karaoke session with her friends claimed that she lost 450 calories in only half an hour, recorded by the fitbit she had on. This means that by the time it was done, she probably lost 2,700 calories!
Another lady noted that her intense weight-loss plan includes, going to the gym for two hours, swims for an hour and spends four hours singing her heart out at karaoke.
One other embarked on a on 3-hour session and lost over 700 calories.
“Those who love singing and want to lose weight without having to step into the gum can try this mathod! But don’t go on an empty stomach because you’ll suffer gastric pains”, shared a netizen who lost over 1,000 calories from a 5-hour session.
