Based on a video gone viral, a new convert in Papua New Guinea, accidentally brought a pig for sacrifice for Hari Raya Aidiladha.
It was because he hadn't quite understood the followings of the Islam faith and the sacrificial law. He thought any animal was permitted for sacrifice, but only goats, cows and camels, not pigs.
His act wasn't on purpose, and so the locals and the uztaz of the town was surprised at the arrival of the pig in front of the mosque.
"Sacrifice for Hajj includes a pig, alhamdullilah the meat is very fresh", the videographer said in a shocked tone.
The videographer then asked the uztaz if he would accept the animal. The uztaz and the locals then laughed it off.
The video then also explained that the man was a new convert, and that he wasn't well-informed of the faith's practices. Netizens who watched the video, quickly praised his efforts, noting that we only needed more guidance.
