There will be discounts on our electricity bills from April 1 to September. In case some of you are wondering how it works, here's how.
For domestic or residential category users:
any electricity usage below 200 kWj per month, you get a 50% discount
any electricity usage between 201kwj and 300kWj per month, you get a 25% discount
any electricity usage between 301kWj and 600kWj per month, you get a 15% discount
any electricity usage above 600kWj per month, you get a 2% discount
Some selected business sectors will also be given a 15% or 2% discount on electricity bills. This includes the 6 most affected sectors: hotel operators, travel agencies, local airline offices, shopping complexes, convention centers and theme parks that are eligible for the 15% bill cut and commercial, industrial and specific agriculture sectors that will get 2% off their monthly electricity bill.
