It is already the 23rd day of the Movement Control Order (MCO), some people seem to not getting what MCO means still.
At the daily press conference yesterday (April 8), the Health Director-General Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah expressed his worries as the number of non-compliance to the MCO is still growing.
He said to the press that there are people who still carry out activities that violate the MCO, like visiting relatives.
According to the Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, there were 454 cases of MCO violation on Tuesday (April 7) and the number has increased 13% as compared to Monday (April 6) with 403 cases.
Starting from April 8, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has started to impose a compound of up to RM1,000 on whoever that violates the MCO.
As of today, several places have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order and COVID-19 red zones have also increased to 23.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded in Selangor, with 1,078 cases, Kuala Lumpur, with 685 cases and Johor with 496 cases, as of yesterday (April 8).
From the current status, it is very likely that the MCO will be extended, and it was suggested by many experts to extend the period.
Anyhow, as an Anak Malaysia, let's play our respective roles so that we can get this over soon.
