Unless you are living under a rock, you might have realized that the recent lockdowns that have been taking place worldwide seem to have dampened people’s spirits. Many couples face the somewhat inevitable fate of being apart. Working in a different state or country may have forced many couples into the harsh fate of long-distance relationships.

In a recent news article, it has been discovered that many couples ended their relationships due to the harsh surroundings that are “long-distance”. It is sad to know that many have tried their hardest and have called it quits.

If you find yourself braving through the storm, yes it will eventually come to pass but here are a few methods you can use to help ease the rough waters of long-distance relationships

Have dinner together!

There is a certain beauty that comes with eating a meal with someone. In an LDR, you find yourself not being able to share a meal with your significant other and that is okay! Plan a virtual dinner and share a meal with them.

Order each other food!

To elevate things and make them more interesting.. Turn it into a game where you order them something they’d like and they can do the same for you.

Keep your communication flowing

Many don’t realise the importance of “how are you’s” or “good morning’s”, a wish or a question could always help them remember that they are always on your mind.

Remember why you started.

It is easy to forget, amidst depressing times. Being able to set goals in your relationship will help you remember why you continue through it all.

I love you’s mean the world!

TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM!! A reminder that you love them will mean all the more when you are apart.

Getting through a storm takes time but eventually, you get out of it! Starting small is still a step in the right direction.

LDR love happiness
