Now, you can have your partner accompany you throughout your journey- or at least, their voice on Waze.
This feature is available on both Android & iOS.
Here's a quick & easy tutorial.
1- Launch Waze & tap the magnifying-glass icon
2- Tap the gear (Settings) icon in the top-left corner of the pop-out menu
3- Tap Voice directions
4- Tap Record new voice
5- Tap Name your voice & fill in a name
6- You'll see a dozen of voice prompts divided by categories [Start of drive, Distances, etc.]
Tap the first prompt & tap the red button to record your voice.
7- Ask your partner to immediately say the listed quote, however they want to improvise.
8- Tap again to complete the recording & save.
9- Tap the Play button to listen to your recording.
Make sure your partner doesn't totally run out of the context when improvising. If the prompt says 'Turn right', stick to the instructions. It could be dangerous to monkey up things too much.
You can even do this with your bestie, kids, siblings or neighbour's cat if you like.
