KUALA PILAH: 4 men tried stealing an ATM machine at 4:00 AM today and the fact that it was located opposite a police station did not stop them.
Their attempt failed after the cable connected to a Nissan Vanette van and a Proton Iswara car to pull the machine snapped.

Kuala Pilah District Police Chief, Superintendent Amran Mohd Ghani, the policeman on duty at the station realized that the closed-circuit camera (CCTV) at the ATM kiosk was not working.
He said, they went to make an inspection when they heard a loud bang from the direction of the kiosk that houses the machine.
"The results of the inspection from CCTV found that four male suspects tried to pull out the ATM machine using wire cables and iron chains," he said today.
Amran said the suspect then fled without pulling out the ATM machine.
He said the incident caused damage to the kiosk structure estimated at RM8,000.
"Police are still conducting further investigations and the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code," he said.
