When women and men go for beauty treatments, we often expect an improvement for the price we pay.
Unfortunately, a Twitter user known as @Teaszn paid a hefty price for what was supposed to be RM99 pico laser trial that essentially ruined her face.
It was the "worst skin" she's had her whole life, after just 3 or 4 treatments, black spots started to appear. She bought extra treatments as she felt pressured to do so by the clinic.
The victim then went to a dermatologist, with each session costing between RM200 to RM400 in order to fix her skin, which would bleed at the slightest touch and "insanely painful."
Her mental health took a nosedive, as she refused to leave home unless her face was covered. Thankfully, her skin became much better, with ice pick scars as a reminder of the past.
The beauty clinic in Mid Valley has since refused to refund the customer and said they will take legal action instead. The customer has filed a police report in order to get the clinic's attention.
The clinic, which brands itself as the "go-to beauty salon for every urbanite," is said to be a frequent spot for influencers, but as influencers often get treatments only once or twice, it may not make a big difference to them.
