A recent exchange took place in Parliament when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman shared a moment of banter.
On Tuesday (Mar 4), Syed Saddiq presented Anwar with two Baju Melayu outfits one in blue and another in pink, fulfilling a promise he had made on social media.
The blue piece, a nod to PM Anwar’s favorite color and his party PKR’s signature hue, was well received.
However, the pink Baju Melayu sparked some playful teasing from the Prime Minister.
“Bella needs to be next to me, then I can wear it”, Anwar quipped, referring to singer Bella Astillah, with whom Syed Saddiq has been rumored to be in a relationship with.
Blushing at the remark, Syed Saddiq responded, “Don’t tease me like that. That’s mine… give me a chance.”
PM Anwar didn’t stop there, pressing further on whether wedding bells were in the MP’s future.
“So when is it have you set the date yet?” he asked.
“Lets just pray for it, Datuk Seri, don’t worry. Whatever happens, you’ll be the first to know”, Syed Saddiq replied with a laugh.
Speculation about Syed Saddiq and Bella’s relationship rumors have been swirling as of late. The duo has been spotted together on multiple occasions, from professional photoshoots to an adventure activities.
