Unlike the typical class-by-class potluck-style Raya feasts where students and teachers bring food to share among themselves, this years event at SKTHO took a refreshing turn. The school opted for a buffet-style celebration, treating all 1,100 students to a wide variety of delicious dishes all fully sponsored by the school and the Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG).
In the video, multiple kiosks were set up to serve different dishes, all of which were lovingly served by the teachers themselves. The spread was so extensive that it resembled a food festival, with parent-contributed dishes also thoughtfully arranged on the tables.
The feast featured a delightful mix of traditional and western cuisines. Among the offerings were roti jala, air balang, lemang, ketupat, rendang, nasi lemak, roti john, and a range of sweet treats. There were also western dishes prepared by the school to give students even more to enjoy.
"We served the students ourselves they just had to say what they wanted. If there was extra, we distributed it among the children," shared Cikgu Wan in the video, highlighting the schools thoughtful and inclusive approach.
The comments section was flooded with praise for the schools initiative, with many netizens commending the teachers and parents for creating such a memorable and inclusive celebration for the students.
This gesture not only brought smiles to the children's faces but also reminded everyone of the spirit of togetherness and generosity that Hari Raya embodies.
