Living A Green Life | Create Your Own Botanical Garden In The House

Placing indoor plants in the house is believed could purify the air, increase the indoor humidity and decrease the room temperature indirectly. Besides that, the spaces with plants may reduce health problems, fatigue, and stress, and it is believed that this may improve efficiency in the workplace as well. Let us go through what kinds of plants may help us make it.

1. Spider Plants/Chlorophytum Comosum

Spider plants are suitable for growing both indoor and outdoor. It may grow well under full sunlight and in semi sunshade. However, it is not suitable to be placed directly under the air-con, the leaves will become yellowish and wilted eventually. The size of the plant is small, it may be placed on a table or a cabinet beside the window.

2. Braided Guiana Chestnut Tree

This kind of tree has a high tolerance to different sunlight density, it may grow well under semi sunshade or be exposed under the sun. It is suitable to be placed beside the windows too.

It has a high tolerance to the drought soil, hence, no need to water frequently. The size of the plant could be decided by the size of the pots. The small braided Guiana chestnut tree could be put on a table or a cabinet beside the window. While the big sized tree could be placed at the balcony, beside the entrance or the corner in the living room.

3. Fiddle Fig Leaves

It is suitable to be placed beside the window or the balcony where indirect sunlight could be reached. If the fiddle fig leaves are middle size, it could be placed beside the entrance too.

4. Asparagus Fern

Small size asparagus ferns could be placed beside the window or on a study desk. It needs indirect sunlight to survive. Otherwise, it will have long and leggy stem and dried leaves. However, it could not stand for direct sunlight too. Strong direct sunlight makes it easy to be wilted if we are unable to water it frequently.

5. Zee Zee Plant

It is suitable to place under semi-shade conditions, it doesn't require frequent watering to survive. The size of the plants may be decided by the size of the pot. But most of it prefer the plant grows in middle size and place it at the entrance.
