To follow the SOPs and to stay safe, most of us have been avoiding going to the gym and instead opting to jog.
The MCO has successfully made most of us fall in love with running cuz isn’t it just daydream time. It doesn’t require any mental engagement so it’s the perfect time to have a quick daydream session. Maybe think of good comebacks to an argument you had earlier.
The worse thing that could ever happen during a run is when your hair gets in your face and gets stuck there because of your sweat. Ugh its disgusting, annoying and just takes the fun out of running.
Here are some hairstyles that are secure enough so that only a limited amount of hair gets in your face while running:
1. Braided Ponytail
This is definitely my favourite hairstyle when going for a run. Not only is it super quick and easy to do but it also prevents your ponytail from slipping and stops hair from getting stuck to your sweaty face and neck!
All you have to do is put your hair into a ponytail, not too high! Then braid your hair and you are done!
2. Jasmine Ponytail
If you don’t know how to braid your hair, then try out this super simple Jasmine ponytail. It functions the same way the braided ponytail does and takes around the same of time to do.
You probably will need more hair ties tho!
3. French Braid or Dutch Braid
This list wouldn’t be complete if these two hairstyles were not on the list. A French or Dutch braid definitely works well when going for a run.
It might take some practice and time to learn both, but you will thank me during your next run!
Here’s a simple tutorial:
4. Boxer Braids
This hairstyle is just two Dutch braids. It does a better job than just the single Dutch braid because it gathers all the small flyaway hairs behind your ear and neck into the secure braid.
If you are not a fan of the pigtails, then just tie them up together and you have a low braided pony.
